jeighk is a white non-binary settler living in the Halifax area; unsurrendered M’ikmaq territory. jeighk’s preferred pronouns are they/them. They are a narrative-based interdisciplinary artist most recently working in sound, movement and shadow play. They have been exploring the use of storytelling as a tool to observe, re-sculpt and re-imagine internal discomforts.  They are committed to telling these stories through a variety of mediums - languages - to challenge and embrace our diverse needs to receive and respond to information. jeighk’s work strives to access our buried sensitivity and provoke emotional validity through vulnerable narratives.
